Traditionally, Râmnic (or Râmnicul Sarat) is part of Muntenia; however ethnographically the folk costume of Râmnic represents the transition between Muntenia and Moldova. Râmnicul Sarat is located in Buzau county.

MUNTENIA's Folk Costume Main Feature: Two overlapping aprons or one skirt-like apron

1. TWO Aprons Version : "Valnic" wide, in the back; "Zavelca" narrow in the front.
2. ONE apron version: the wide, pleated "valnic" all around.

3. Moldova influence (wrap-around apron=fota creata) in the North part: Muscel, Bran, and Buzau; however, the fabric, style of embroidery, and head cover are specific to Muntenia
