In Romania, Hungarians live in Banat, Transylvania, and Moldova. There are seven groups: 1. Kalotaszeg / Koroslo . 2. Torocko. 3.Mezoseg , 4. Maros. 5. Szekely (Haromszek or TreiScaune or Covasna; Udvarhelyszek or Odorhei-Ciuc-Harghita, and Bukovina)
6. Csango (Bacau-Moldova, Gyimes, and Hatfalus in Brasov) 7. West Plains Region ( Szatmar, Banat, Bihor or Fekete Korosvolgyiek or Crisu'Negru). Until about 100 years ago, some historic documents also mentioned Csangos in Deva (Devai Csangok) and Aldunai Csangok or Csangos in Lower Danube region (around the town of Moldova Veche).
